Announce the Launching of
ε-ORB
Electronic Oil Record Book
The ε-ORB maritime software application has been developed aiming to enhance the efficiency on board by demonstrating compliance with requirements of international conventions and Flag Registries with regards to Electronic Oil Record Book. The ε-ORB has been designed to assist Mariners in filling out the traditional paper Oil Record Book or to replace it and to establish software transparency, credibility and traceability. It was developed in accordance with MARPOL requirements and it is certified by Lloyd’s Register under MEPC.1/Circ. 736/Rev. 2 guidelines.
It is an intuitive and Mariner friendly maritime software application, its installation by the user is easy and provides the possibility of data recording within the same server as well as having the ability to be used by several clients from multiple work stations.
The e-ORB software will be available for use by ship-owners, ship operators, and authorities world-wide. All information is stored electronically through the use of a system back-up, making archiving easier and enabling past data to be revisited.
Christian Mollitor, Vice President of the Liberian Registry, says, "…Through the use of technology, we have developed an IMO compliant oil record book that eliminates the chance for administrative errors, that ensures accuracy and accountability in recordkeeping and that is easily auditable from both on board and ashore. The e-ORB affords peace of mind knowing that your ship maintains accurate information when pulling into port."
Our Managing Director adds,“Our target was to develop an advanced tool for Mariners which would prevent inconsistencies before they start without deviation of the users from the users’ daily routines and the widely known ORB working environment. With the ε-ORB we succeed in reducing man-hours and potential risks for fines or delays at ports. By aiming to offer reputable Maritime Software solutions, the ε-ORB has been certified and gained approval by the Lloyd’s Register under MEPC.1/Circ. 736/Rev. 2 guidelines”.
